The Release Manager acts as the critical bridge between development and production environments, ensuring that software releases are planned, communicated, and delivered smoothly and safely. This role is responsible for coordinating across internal project teams, the Live Service team, DevOps, and key stakeholders to ensure releases are fully approved, well-documented, and executed with minimal risk.
The Release Manager balances strong technical understanding with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to maintain transparency, alignment, and control throughout the entire release lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Manage communications between internal project teams and the Live Service team
- Engage stakeholders and secure approvals for planned changes
- Create and maintain release notes and change request documentation
- Identify and assess risks and issues related to upcoming releases
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to coordinate and support release implementation
- Provide technical oversight for dependency management and release branching
- Maintain transparency and alignment across all stakeholders throughout the release process
