End-to-End Solution Ownership: Own the technical solution lifecycle for data science and AI initiatives, from shaping requirements and defining the solution approach through to implementation support.

Advanced Modelling & Analysis: Apply advanced data science and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems.

Production & MLOps: Design, build, and deploy robust, scalable, and maintainable machine learning models into production environments. Design and implement MLOps pipelines.

Strategic Impact: Contribute to the strategic direction of data science and AI initiatives, identifying new opportunities for innovation and help to shape best practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand their needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and communicate findings to non-technical audiences in a clear and compelling manner.

Ethical AI & Governance: Ensure the ethical and responsible application of AI/ML models.

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and guide junior data scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Research & Innovation: Research and evaluate new machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, and emerging AI technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with programming languages such as C#, Python, R, and SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Implementation knowledge of algorithms and techniques like Regression, decision trees, Random Forest, XGBoost, K means, anomaly detection, Bayesian theory, Time Series Forecasting etc.
  • Understanding of evaluation and explanation techniques in machine learning, e.g. overfitting, bias, cross validation, LIME, SHAP, etc.
  • Experience with data science tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Experience with working with large and complex datasets.

Knowledge of Public Sector:

  • Understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing public sector organisations.
  • Experience working with public sector data.
  • Knowledge of public sector regulations and compliance requirements.
