Community Engagement & Outreach
- Engage proactively with diverse communities, including those facing digital exclusion.
- Build strong partnerships with job centres, community organisations, charities, colleges, universities, training providers, and employers.
- Represent the organisation at community events, career fairs, employer forums, and local initiatives.
- Deliver tailored outreach across neighbourhoods, faith groups, community centres, and employment support organisations.
Learner Attraction & Support
- Recruit learners onto Government Funded IT/Tech and Digital Skills short courses.
- Provide clear, supportive advice on course options, eligibility, funding, and career pathways.
- Maintain regular communication with referral partners to encourage learner sign‑ups.
- Organise and deliver information sessions, webinars, and engagement events.
Marketing & Communications
- Work with the marketing team to deliver targeted local campaigns.
- Distribute digital promotional materials and use social media, email, and local advertising to increase visibility.
- Promote the organisation’s strengths to support employer attraction and strategic positioning.
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track outreach activity, learner enquiries, and engagement metrics using internal systems such as Magn8.
- Maintain an accurate CRM of partners and industry contacts.
- Report on progress toward closing the digital skills gap in your region.
- Provide insights to optimise recruitment and engagement strategies.
What You’ll Bring
- Community engagement, outreach, digital inclusion, or learner recruitment experience.
- Proven ability to build relationships with community groups, education providers, employment organisations, and employers.
- Experience delivering presentations, hosting information sessions, or supporting events.
- Experience tracking outreach activity and reporting outcomes.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection in learner engagement.
Knowledge & Understanding
- Awareness of the barriers to digital participation and progression, particularly in diverse or disadvantaged communities.
- Knowledge of local areas within South Yorkshire for outreach.
- Strong digital literacy, including CRM systems, email marketing tools, and social media.
- Understanding of government-funded training programmes and local skills priorities.
- Familiarity with regional socio-economic factors affecting learning and employment.
