Are you passionate about empowering others to achieve their career goals? Netcom Training is seeking an enthusiastic Career Coach to join our team. In this pivotal role, you’ll support learners as they develop the skills and confidence to launch or progress their careers after completing their course. You’ll guide learners through every stage of the job application process—from job search and CV writing to interview preparation and offer acceptance. You’ll also help them transition into new roles or further learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify suitable job opportunities and support learners with job board searches and alerts.
- Prepare and tailor CVs and cover letters for different roles.
- Coach learners in interview techniques, professional presentation, and communication.
- Organise and manage multiple job applications and interview schedules.
- Develop and deliver employability workshops (in-person and virtual).
- Create and maintain learner resources (e.g., CV templates, interview tips).
- Provide one-to-one coaching and feedback using digital tools.
- Collaborate with recruitment partners and internal teams to maximise learner opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Netcom policies, safeguarding, and quality standards.
About You
- Educated to Level 3 (or equivalent).
- Capable of working towards targets and juggling multiple priorities.
- Proficient with technology (Microsoft, Google, databases).
- Skilled in managing large caseloads of learners to achieve progress.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and motivational skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a hybrid team.
- Empathetic, positive, and dedicated to diversity, equality and inclusion.
- Experience in recruitment, career development, or learner progression.
- Relevant coaching or career guidance certification.
- Experience creating learning resources and facilitating workshops.
- Experience supporting learners with additional needs/SEND.
- Knowledge of the education/training sector and technology recruitment market.
