Your Role
We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to help keep our internal and cloud infrastructure running smoothly. Reporting to the Head of DevOps, IT & InfoSec, you’ll provide hands-on support across the business, resolving day-to-day technical issues, onboarding new team members, and contributing to service improvements.
This is a great role for someone passionate about IT support, with a proactive mindset and a knack for problem-solving. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure our systems remain reliable, secure, and user-friendly.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for IT support queries, using our helpdesk system
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Preparing laptops and tech for new starters, and delivering technical inductions
- Supporting our cloud-based infrastructure and systems
- Managing software licensing and working with suppliers to ensure value for money
- Monitoring system performance, applying updates, and helping keep our infrastructure secure
- Assisting with endpoint management and user identity tools such as Intune and Azure SSO
- Supporting DevOps-related tasks and contributing to process improvements
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hands-on experience with supporting IT hardware and software
- Familiarity with both Windows and Mac OS environments
- Experience using a helpdesk or ticketing system
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- The ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure
- A professional, patient, and tactful approach when supporting users
- You’ll need to be able to travel to our St Albans office regularly (typically 2-3 days per week, with flexibility)
- We welcome applications from recent university graduates who are eager to learn and build their IT career
It would also be great if you have:
- Experience with Azure, Intune, Entra ID, or Azure DevOps
- An interest in cloud infrastructure or DevOps practices
