A UX designer ensures a product makes sense to the user by creating a path that logically flows from one step to the next. A UI designer ensures each page visually communicates that path. A UI, UX, and front-end web developer is responsible for applying interactive and visual design principles on websites and web applications to achieve a positive and cohesive user experience. These developers use HTML, CSS, and other design tools to achieve responsive designs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
  • Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
  • Creating user stories, personas, and storyboards; determining information architecture and creating sitemaps.
  • Creating prototypes and wireframes; conducting usability testing.
  • Finding your area of interest in UX design, which is a broad discipline.
  • Understanding general structure and writing style, action research design, and case study design.
