Trainee Fitter – Experience considered from Automotive technician / Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Technician, Hydraulic, Electrical or Mechanical experience
Location: Rural Maidstone
Salary: Basic upto £26-28,500 Basic + upto 2 hours over time per day = OTE £34,000-£38,000 + Benefits
Hours: 6.30 or 7.30am start, 39 hours per week.

We\’re looking for a hands-on Automotive technician to join a company as a Mechanical Assembly Technician/ Fitter to join a dynamic team.

About the Role

You\’ll assemble and build high-quality Kits, working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. You\’ll be part of a professional, supportive team that values quality, efficiency, and innovation – and we\’ll provide the training to help you grow your skills even further.

Your Day-to-Day Will Involve as a Fitter

  • Assembling fabricated parts, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Fitting pumps, valves, motors, wiring looms, and pipework
  • Diagnosing and fixing basic faults
  • Working hands-on with air tools, lifting equipment, and technical diagrams

What We\’re Looking For from a mechanical fitter

  • Background in automotive, mechanical, or plant fitting
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and great attention to detail
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrics
  • Comfortable working in a physically active role
