Technical Claims Handler (Property) Commercial & Residential Construction Claims | 5+ Years' Experience Required We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the property warranty and construction sector, seeking an experienced Technical Claims Handler to join their expanding team. This is a newly created standalone position, reflecting the increasing demand within the technical claims function. It's an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys managing complex construction-related claims while building strong relationships with developers, homeowners, and internal stakeholders. The Role You'll be responsible for managing a varied caseload of commercial and residential property claims, primarily relating to new-build developments. Acting as the key point of contact throughout the claims process, you'll balance technical expertise with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end technical property claims across commercial and residential developments. Handle construction-related claims, predominantly within the new-build sector. Liaise with developers, contractors, homeowners, and other stakeholders throughout the claims journey. Investigate claims, review supporting evidence, and make informed decisions in line with policy terms. Apply a strong understanding of policy wording, exclusions, and endorsements, keeping up to date with ongoing changes. Manage complaints professionally and resolve disputes with confidence and empathy. Maintain accurate records and ensure exceptional attention to detail across all casework. Work independently in a standalone technical claims role while collaborating with the wider business where required. About You We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring significant technical claims experience to this growing function. Essential Minimum 5 years' experience handling technical property claims. Experience managing both commercial and residential construction-related claims. Strong knowledge of claims processes within the new-build or construction sector. Proven experience liaising with developers, contractors, and property owners. Excellent complaint handling and conflict management skills. Outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and confidently manage a standalone role. Desirable Knowledge or understanding of UK Building Regulations. Experience working with structural warranties or property warranty policies. Why Apply?
