We are looking for an experienced Chiller Engineer / Air Conditioning Engineer to join a growing engineering team working across major commercial and specialist sites throughout the UK. This role is ideal for an experienced AC engineer looking to step into chiller engineering, as full manufacturer and technical training will be provided. You do not need extensive chiller experience, provided you have strong refrigeration knowledge, good fault-finding skills and the desire to learn.
The Opportunity
You will work on a wide range of commercial chillers, refrigeration systems and air conditioning equipment, carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, breakdown response, fault-finding and repairs. The company supports two nationwide contracts, so this is a genuinely mobile position. Travel time is paid door-to-door, with overtime and call-out opportunities providing the potential to earn up to £85,000+ per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair commercial and industrial chillers on a reactive and PPM basis
- Attend reactive breakdowns and carry out effective fault-finding as well as diagnose and repair refrigeration, electrical and mechanical faults
- Service and maintain commercial air conditioning systems
- Carry out refrigerant leak testing and complete F-Gas documentation
- Diagnose refrigeration circuit and electrical control faults
- Complete service reports and electronic job sheets
- Identify remedial and additional works
- Provide technical information to support quotations
- Communicate professionally with customers and site teams
- Work independently while managing a nationwide mobile workload

- Experience working independently on customer sites
- A full UK driving licence
- A professional approach to customer service
- The flexibility to travel nationwide and stay away when required
