About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Onsite IT Engineer to provide hands-on technical support for our client based in Reading. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a varied workload, solving technical issues, and engaging directly with end-users to ensure smooth IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver on-site technical support, escalating complex issues to the Service Desk where needed.
Provide first-line troubleshooting for hardware, software, printers, and network issues.
Support meeting room hardware, escalating to third-party providers where required.
Perform proactive site checks and maintain accurate hardware and asset records.
Administer and manage WiFi access, including monthly password updates and MAC address whitelist management.
Assist with hardware installations, maintenance, and general \”smart hands\” tasks.
Generate ad-hoc reports from the Meraki dashboard and provide network statistics.
Engage with end-users to support setup, connectivity, and day-to-day IT queries.
Maintain a task and issue log and attend monthly stakeholder meetings to report on IT performance.
About You
We\’re seeking someone who is:

Experienced in providing onsite IT support across hardware, software, and networking.
Confident troubleshooting common end-user issues and escalating effectively when required.
Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and logs.
A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage tasks independently while being a key point of contact on-site.
