My client based in Liskeard is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager with roughly 6 years experience in the aviation/aerospace sector. You will be managing a team of 15 individuals mainly within Liskeard but also other offices around the UK, which you will be required to travel to once a quarter.
You will be someone who is optimistic, bubbly and fantastic at communicating with suppliers to ensure you get the best rates for supplies and turnaround time.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Managing an experienced supply chain team of roughly 15 individuals across multiple branches.
- Travelling to other branches once a quarter to be with other members of your team that are not based in Liskeard.
- Handling procurement and contract management with suppliers, ensuring you are getting the best rates and products in turnaround time.
- Managing root cause analysis, being an out-of-the-box thinker to make solutions and find suitable backup supplies.
- Managing supplier/manufacturing performance with rates, production, turnaround times and availability.
- Readjusting processes and assessing suitable options to overcome hurdles and challenges.
- Partnering with a range of teams such as engineering, stores and quality control to assess production/quality of products supplied.
Requirements:
- At least 5 or 6 years experience as a Supply Chain Manager or team leader within the aerospace/aviation industry.
- Knowledge of CAA Regulations.
- Project management qualification would be desirable.
- Outgoing nature.
- Happy to be in office Monday to Friday.
