Purchaser Monday - Friday | 9:00am - 5:00pm Permanent | Full-Time An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchaser to join a well-established, family-run manufacturing business with over 35 years of success.
Operating as a leading supplier of specialist cleaning chemicals and PPE, the company has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation and exceptional customer service.
This is a standalone purchasing role offering genuine autonomy and the chance to make a real commercial impact.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing function, working with a network of over 300 suppliers and overseeing a product range of more than 1,000 SKUs.
Key responsibilities include supplier negotiation, relationship management, stock analysis, purchasing through Sage 200 (including MRP), identifying cost-saving opportunities, and working closely with production and other internal departments to ensure materials are available to meet business demands.
The ideal candidate will have: Previous purchasing or procurement experience.
Experience within a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Sage 200 experience would be advantageous).
Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
The ability to work independently and manage a standalone purchasing function.
