Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 DOE + Overtime at Time and a Half

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

About the Role

Due to continued business growth, my client is looking to recruit a Junior Air Conditioning Engineer to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin their career within the HVAC industry and gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers across a variety of commercial projects throughout London. No hands-on experience is essential – if you hold a valid F-Gas qualification and have the right attitude, they will provide the training and support needed to develop your career. There is excellent earning potential through overtime and enhanced rates for night work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to sites across London and surrounding areas, arriving promptly for scheduled start times.
  • Work alongside experienced AC Engineers to gain practical knowledge and industry experience.
  • Assist with the installation of air conditioning systems in accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation plans.
  • Support servicing and maintenance works as required between installation projects.
  • Assist with ductwork installations and associated mechanical works.
  • Work on a range of projects, from short-term installations lasting 1-2 days to larger projects running over several months.
  • Carry out works safely and professionally within occupied and live commercial environments.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Valid F-Gas (F-GAS/FCAS) qualification
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills

Desirable:

  • City & Guilds Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Ventilation Systems
  • Previous industry experience (minimum 1 year preferred but not essential)
  • Commercial installation experience
  • Experience working within HVAC or construction environments
