We're looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join an established East Kent based business on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and enjoys taking ownership of financial reporting, controls, and process improvement. Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting business-critical finance processes.

Key Responsibilities for the Financial Accountant

  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and review journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Support financial reporting, statutory compliance, VAT, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure audit readiness.
  • Support ERP (SAP) processes, reporting, and continuous system improvements.
  • Partner with finance, IT, and wider business stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.

About You

You'll be an accomplished and ideally qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge and the confidence to work independently while building effective relationships across the business.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Relevant finance qualification (ACCA preferred).
  • At least 5 years' accounting experience within a corporate or multinational environment.
  • Strong experience using SAP (FI/CO experience essential; COPA desirable).
  • Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience within a multi-entity or international business.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools.

What's On Offer

A salary of c£50,000 to £60,000 DOE, plus a range of company benefits and hybrid working.
