My client on the outskirts of Maidstone is looking to recruit a Pumps Estimator to join their team on a permanent basis. You will have strong knowledge of below ground pumps; below and above ground pumps would be desirable. You will be looking after all the pump quotations for the business and supporting the wider team when required.
Responsibilities
- Attending sites as required, delivering excellent customer service to understand needs (roughly once a month).
- Estimate planned and remedial pump works, including markup to maximise profit.
- Follow up quotations on non-key account clients to win business and build relationships for returning business.
- Procure parts for jobs and gain secured pricing from suppliers.
- Use technical knowledge to support wider teams.
- Work at a high volume, completing multiple quotes per day and updating the system.
- Work well in a team to meet business needs and support colleagues when required.
Requirements
- Technical knowledge of below ground pumps (and preferably both below and above ground).
- Ability to estimate works at high values (on site or in office).
- Great customer service skills.
- Driving licence.
- Attention to detail.
- Positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
