Job Title: Compliance Manager Location: London/ Malta – Hybrid Global Interactive Marketing Online (GIMO) Global Interactive Marketing Online (GIMO) is a London based leading independent marketing agency and software developer within the iGaming industry. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the compliance complies with local regulations, overseeing the work of Compliance Officers, maintaining and updating internal policies, and managing the delivery of compliance-related projects. The Compliance Manager will also ensure effective communication between Compliance Officers and regulatory authorities, oversee risk assessments, and support the Head of Compliance in developing and maintaining a robust compliance framework across all markets. Lead mentor, and technically upskill a team of Compliance Officers across various jurisdictions. Ensure that each market (with a special focus on UK) adheres to local regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Work collaboratively with the Head of Compliance to translate strategy into operational execution and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Drive the standardisation and scalability of compliance processes, ensuring they support growth without compromising effectiveness. Regulatory Compliance and Engagement: Stay updated on the latest regulatory changes in each jurisdiction and ensure timely implementation of necessary adjustments. Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures tailored to each market. Oversee the end-to-end execution of regulatory reporting, audits, and inspections with a hands-on approach to documentation and data accuracy. Collaborate with business units to integrate compliance requirements into operational processes. Liaise directly with regulators when necessary, and coordinate with the Head of Compliance for strategic regulatory responses. Own and improve day-to-day compliance monitoring processes, leveraging automation and system integration where applicable. Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments for each market to identify potential compliance issues. Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure their implementation by COs. Monitor and audit compliance processes regularly to ensure adherence to policies. Training and Awareness: Create structured training and development plans for Compliance Officers, including jurisdictional specialisation and regulatory literacy. Foster a culture of compliance and knowledge sharing across all markets. Identify succession planning opportunities and nurture high-potential talent within the team. Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborate with other departments, such as Legal, Operations, and IT, to ensure a unified approach to compliance. Prepare and present compliance reports to the Head of Compliance and senior management. Manage communication between the compliance team and other departments to ensure seamless operations. Oversee compliance-related projects, including new market entries, policy updates, and system implementations. Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget, with all regulatory requirements met. Bachelor’s degree is desirable. Professional compliance certification (e.g., Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role within the gambling industry, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership position. Proven experience managing multi-jurisdictional compliance programs and leading teams. Proficiency in using compliance management software and tools (e.g., Office suite, Atlassian). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory texts. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with regulatory bodies and senior management. Ability to travel as needed to meet with regulators and oversee compliance operations.
