Our client, a major player in UK renewable energy infrastructure, is looking for a Transmission Connections & Project Delivery Manager/Director to lead their transmission network connection strategy and delivery.

You'll take ownership of grid connection projects end-to-end — leading a team of Project Managers, driving commercial and technical delivery, and acting as the senior point of contact with National Grid (NGET), NESO, Transmission Owners, and DNOs. This is a senior leadership role with genuine influence over business strategy and project governance.

What You'll Do

  • Set and drive the UK transmission connection strategy
  • Lead delivery of grid substations, connection infrastructure, and related works — on time, on budget, safely
  • Manage and develop a team of Project Managers
  • Own commercial performance: budgets, CAPEX, contractor management, procurement
  • Manage the transmission risk register and report to the Executive Team/Board
  • Build strong relationships with NESO, NGET, Transmission Owners, DNOs, and contractors

What You'll Bring

  • Senior leadership experience delivering major infrastructure or energy projects
  • Strong knowledge of the UK transmission industry and grid connection process
