With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, they deliver high-voltage (HV) infrastructure solutions for solar, wind, and battery storage projects. As they continue to expand their portfolio, they are seeking an experienced High Voltage Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple large-scale projects and lead a team of Project Managers nationwide.
Role Overview: As a High Voltage Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of six concurrent renewable energy projects across the UK. You will lead and support a team of Project Managers, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of high-voltage renewable energy projects (11kV to 132kV).
- Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers, providing strategic direction and ensuring performance targets are met.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, DNOs, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Monitor project progress through KPIs, ensuring milestones are achieved within agreed timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project delivery processes.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage subcontractor relationships.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing multiple HV projects within the renewables or utilities sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team of Project Managers.
- In-depth knowledge of high-voltage systems, grid connections, and renewable energy infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management, contract negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards within the energy sector.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work remotely and travel across the UK as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
