We’re working with an established renewable energy business looking to add two experienced Field Service Engineers to its growing Solar O&M team across the South West.
Territories: This is a hands-on field role working across a portfolio of utility-scale, predominantly ground-mounted solar PV sites, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, testing and optimisation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planned and preventative maintenance across solar PV assets
- Electrical testing, inspection and fault diagnosis
- Reactive and corrective maintenance
- Troubleshooting underperforming systems and equipment
- Working with central and string inverter technology
- LV/HV maintenance and G59/G99 related activities
- Testing and monitoring earthing systems and protection relays
- Coordinating and supervising third-party contractors on site
- Maintaining accurate testing, maintenance and CMMS records
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures and industry standards
What we’re looking for:
Ideally, you’ll have 3+ years' experience within utility-scale Solar PV O&M and a strong electrical background. Experience across the following would be particularly relevant:
- Network diagnostics and remote communications
- Central and string inverters
- Electrical testing and inspection
- Earthing systems and protection relays
Relevant electrical qualifications are required, ideally including 18th Edition (BS7671) and 2391 Test & Inspection, alongside Solar PV installation/maintenance qualifications or equivalent. AP15/OP40 certification would also be highly desirable.
