A long-established, MCS-certified renewable energy and electrical services business is seeking a Lead Electrician to take ownership of all electrical work and certification as they continue to grow. With 14+ years in operation and a strong pipeline across heat pumps, solar PV, EV charging and general electrical projects, the business is now bringing its electrical capability fully in-house.
This is a career-defining opportunity to step into a senior, trusted role where you’ll lead the electrical function, shape how the division grows, and work closely with the wider operations team.

Key Responsibilities
- Installing and commissioning electrical systems, including
Heat pumps
EV chargers
General domestic and light commercial electrical work - Testing, inspecting and certifying all electrical work (acting as sign‑off lead)
- Supporting the expansion of general electrical contracting, such as
New‑build electrical services
Electrical upgrades
Additional residential and light commercial work - Collaborating with the renewables and heating teams
- Mentoring the apprentice electrician and helping shape the future of the department
About You
- Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience with solar PV, EV installations or heat pumps
- Strong domestic or commercial experience
- Able to carry out inspection, testing and certification (2391 or equivalent preferred)
- High professional standards, reliability, and strong communication
- Experience supervising or mentoring others
- Interest in helping grow a technical division
