Grid Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

Are you ready to drive the future of renewable energy? We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Grid Manager to join our clients team in Cornwall. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in transforming the UK's energy landscape, working on cutting-edge wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects.

Our client is a company that’s redefining renewable energy. Since 2010, there dedicated team has been designing, building, and operating advanced clean energy systems across the UK. With every aspect of there projects managed in-house, delivering solutions that are innovative, efficient, and sustainable.

As Grid Manager, your primary responsibility will be managing the grid connection process for projects, from initial feasibility assessments all the way through to energisation. You will collaborate with Distribution Network Operators DNOs, Transmission Operators TOs, the National Electricity System Operator ESO, and Independent Connection Providers ICPs to ensure timely and cost-effective grid solutions. You will be responsible for providing technical input into grid applications, critically reviewing connection offers to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities, and keeping the team informed about policy and regulatory changes. Additionally, you will oversee the grid compliance process, working with Original Equipment Manufacturers OEMs to develop testing and compliance regimes for new sites and negotiating technical aspects during contract discussions.

To thrive in this role, you will need to bring a deep understanding of the UK’s distribution and transmission networks, a proven track record of successfully delivering grid connections for power generation projects, and strong commercial awareness. You'll also need exceptional organisational and communication skills, as well as technical proficiency in tools like AutoCAD.
