You have spent years working in domestic properties, solving the problems that only experienced electricians really understand. Old consumer units, awkward cable routes, tight loft spaces, poor access, testing issues and homeowners who need confidence from the person standing in front of them.

This role gives you the chance to take that domestic electrical experience into one of the fastest-growing areas of the market: solar PV, battery storage and residential renewables. You will install, test and support domestic solar PV and battery systems across residential properties. Your work will include electrical installation, testing, cable runs, connections, fault finding and ensuring each system is completed safely, cleanly and professionally.

You will be part of a field-based team working across Sussex, Kent and Surrey. Some days will involve going directly to site, while others may involve collecting materials, meeting colleagues or supporting planned installation work from the depot.

This is a growing residential renewables company with a strong pipeline of solar PV, battery and low-carbon home energy projects. The business is young, busy and hands-on, with a culture built around quality workmanship, accountability and practical problem solving.

You will be a qualified electrician with strong domestic installation experience. Around ten years in domestic electrical work would be ideal, although candidates with the right depth of practical experience across varied residential properties will be considered.

Experience with domestic solar PV and battery installations is highly desirable. If you have not worked extensively in solar, a strong domestic electrical background is essential. You should be confident with testing, comfortable in customers’ homes and able to represent the business professionally.

A 2391 Testing and Inspection qualification is preferred, as it demonstrates strong testing capability, but training may be available for the right electrician.

You will receive a salary of £40,000 to £47,000, a company van for work use, and the opportunity to develop your career in residential solar PV, battery storage and renewable energy installations.
