If you’re at your best when you’re bringing order to complexity - protecting delivery teams, shaping fair outcomes, and making sure contracts genuinely work in the real world - this role will feel like a step forward. Here, your commercial judgement won’t sit on the sidelines. It will directly help accelerate on-street EV charging infrastructure across the UK, supporting local authorities and communities to move towards cleaner transport.
You’ll join a fast-growing charge point operator delivering innovative, low-impact EV charging solutions. The contracts are live, the stakeholders are varied, and the pace is real - so you’ll have the space to influence decisions early, mitigate risk before it becomes cost, and keep suppliers performing to plan.
As Contracts Manager, you’ll lead the development, review and management of contracts and sub-contracts across EV charging deployments. A big part of your impact will come through shaping delivery schedules and milestones - ensuring they’re realistic, measurable, and aligned with operational capability and client expectations. You’ll maintain a central contract register with strong version control, support commercial negotiations on new agreements, and integrate contract delivery requirements into project plans alongside delivery leadership.
You’ll also oversee supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs, escalating issues early and helping to unlock solutions when delivery challenges arise. Working closely with finance and operations, you’ll keep payment schedules, obligations and progress aligned, while producing clear commercial data for leadership decisions.
This is a purpose-led infrastructure business at the heart of the UK’s EV transition, partnering with local authorities to deliver practical, scalable charging networks. The culture is collaborative, straight-talking and inclusive - focused on making a difference while valuing the people doing the work.
You’ll bring demonstrable commercial / QS delivery experience in infrastructure, highways, utilities, EV charging or related sectors, with a strong track record negotiating delivery schedules within contracts. You’re confident with public sector procurement and local authority contracting, and you’re comfortable balancing stakeholder expectations with contractual reality. Knowledge of NEC, JCT (or bespoke forms) is useful, and familiarity with CDM, IR35 and Modern Slavery compliance will help you hit the ground running.
You’ll have flexible, smart working, genuine autonomy, and the chance to grow into a senior commercial manager role with a sector that’s expanding quickly - building a portfolio you’ll be proud to put your name to.
