This is an opportunity for an Operations Manager who wants more than maintenance mode. You may be the person in your current business who can see how things should run, but you are waiting for the authority, backing and pace to actually make it happen.
Here, you will sit at the centre of a fast-scaling renewable energy group, helping transform regional residential installation businesses into one professional, consistent and technology-enabled operation.
The business is growing quickly through acquisition, bringing established solar, battery, EV and renewable installation companies into a more structured, high-performance group. That means legacy systems, local habits, spreadsheets, WhatsApp workarounds and informal handovers all need to become scalable operating standards.
Not from behind a desk, but by embedding in regional teams, understanding how work actually happens, and building processes people can trust and use.
You will own operational standards across the group, from job flows and scheduling through to installation handovers, aftercare, stock processes, system usage and reporting discipline. A major focus will be driving adoption of field service management software such as SimPro, alongside wider tools across CRM, finance, design and workflow systems.
You will spend time on site with office managers, engineers, installation managers and general managers, mapping what works, fixing what does not, and making sure improvements stick. As each new business joins the group, you will help build the repeatable integration playbook that makes onboarding cleaner, faster and more profitable.
This is a well-backed, entrepreneurial renewable energy group with a flat structure, ambitious leadership and a clear plan to professionalise residential clean energy installation. You will understand installation-led businesses, ideally across renewables, electrical contracting, building services, HVAC, EV charging or residential field operations. You will be confident challenging established ways of working, winning trust with field teams, and holding the line with senior stakeholders when standards need to improve.
You will receive £70,000 – £80,000, benefits, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, pension, covered travel and accommodation expenses, hybrid working and potential share option participation. For the right person, this role offers a clear path towards becoming the group operational leader as the business scales.
