A fast-growing, technology-driven investment platform focused on renewable energy and battery storage is searching for a commercially astute Chief Investment Officer to help drive their next phase of growth. With operations spanning the UK and the UAE, the business specialises in acquiring, developing, and managing last-mile and full build-out infrastructure projects across solar, wind, and battery technologies. This is a hands-on leadership role with full responsibility for investment strategy, execution, and financial oversight.

You’ll lead the end-to-end investment function, from sourcing and acquiring high-value energy projects to managing the purchase, financing, and eventual disposal of assets. M&A will sit at the core of the role, covering both buy-side and sell-side transactions, alongside fundraising and capital deployment. You’ll build and lead your own investment and finance team while working closely with the CEO to shape and deliver strategic goals. This is a highly entrepreneurial position where you’ll be expected to originate deals, assess risk, manage due diligence, and take assets through to commercial success.

We’re looking for a proven investment leader with deep experience across the UK and UAE energy markets, ideally with a track record in battery storage, solar, and/or wind. You’ll bring strong transactional experience across both buy-side and sell-side M&A, and a history of raising and managing institutional capital. You should be confident operating in fast-paced, founder-led environments and comfortable with hands-on execution as well as strategic oversight. Relocation to Dubai is essential unless you’re already based there, and experience navigating the regulatory, financial, and cultural landscape of both regions will be key.

You’ll be joining a mission-led business at a pivotal point in its growth journey. A competitive base salary is on offer, alongside a performance-based bonus and a significant long-term incentive structure - potentially including equity, LTIP, or synthetic carry. If you’re motivated by the opportunity to shape a business, lead from the front, and make a tangible impact on the global energy transition, this could be the role you’ve been waiting for.

If this sounds like you and you’re ready to explore something exciting and meaningful, we’d love to start a confidential conversation. Please reach out to Lindsay Warren at lindsay@netzeroevolution.com
