Ready to lead the UK’s next wave of solar infrastructure? You know the UK solar market is evolving fast. Car parks are becoming power stations. Depots are becoming energy hubs. And EPCs are searching for partners who can bring credible, bankable solar carport solutions to the table.
If you’ve built your career selling solar projects into EPCs or C&I developers, not just moving hardware but shaping real schemes, this is your opportunity to step into a visible, high-impact role. You won’t be managing sites. You’ll be driving growth. Owning relationships. Converting opportunity into signed contracts.
This is a chance to be at the forefront of a fast-scaling European solar carport provider now expanding rapidly across the UK.
Why this role
Solar carports sit at the intersection of C&I solar, EV charging, fleet electrification and net zero strategy. The market is accelerating, and the right commercial leader can shape it. This role is roughly 75% commercial and 25% technical. You’ll focus on building strategic relationships with solar EPCs and C&I solar developers, identifying where carports belong in tenders, frameworks, fleet projects and large parking developments. From first conversation to contract signature, you’ll own the commercial journey.
What you’ll do
- You’ll proactively grow and manage a pipeline of UK solar opportunities, positioning high-quality solar carport solutions into live and upcoming projects.
- Early-stage technical conversations will be yours to lead, supported by an experienced engineering team behind you. You’ll coordinate layouts, drawings and technical clarifications during pre-construction, ensuring EPC partners have confidence at every stage.
- There will be occasional early on-site support with EPCs and installers, but this is not a delivery project management role. You’ll also help launch a straightforward partner training programme, strengthening installer capability and long-term relationships.
About the company
This is an established European manufacturer and designer of premium solar carports with a strong project track record across C&I sites, logistics depots and large parking estates. Now entering a rapid UK growth phase, the business combines robust engineering with commercial agility. You’ll join a technically strong team with clear ambition and genuine appetite to invest in the UK market.
About you
You’ve sold solar projects into EPCs or C&I developers and understand how schemes move from concept to contract. You’re comfortable discussing layouts, structures, civils basics and project constraints without needing to be a structural engineer. You manage pipeline and relationships with equal confidence. You enjoy business development, account management and project development, and you’re motivated by building something meaningful in a growing niche. Experience in solar carports, EV charging or depot electrification is advantageous, as is an active UK EPC network.
Rewards & growth
You’ll step into a key, market-shaping role with genuine autonomy and visibility. Expect a competitive base salary aligned to mid to senior solar sales level, plus performance-driven upside. As the UK market grows, so will your influence and opportunity.
