Your New Employer
You will be joining a growing UK manufacturer operating in the electrical and EV space, with a strong product offer and a clear ambition to deepen its footprint across Scotland. The business has built momentum through practical solutions, reliable delivery, and a down-to-earth culture that values relationships. This is a team that wins by showing up, doing what they say they will do, and becoming a trusted name in the trade, and they are now investing in Scotland to accelerate that growth.
Your New Role
As Regional Business Development Manager for Scotland, you will take ownership of a field-based patch and build presence through consistent, visible activity across electrical wholesalers and contractor networks. Your success will come from being in branches, on sites, and in front of the right people often enough to earn trust and become the person they call when opportunities arise. You will develop strong working relationships with branch teams and trade counter staff, supporting wholesale partners to promote the range to contractors and end users. You will open new accounts, re-energise dormant relationships, and create steady regional pull-through by following up properly and keeping conversations moving. Day to day, you will be out meeting people, understanding what matters locally, and representing the business professionally with a style that feels approachable, credible, and consistent.
Your Background
You might already have experience selling electrical, renewables or technical products into trade or wholesale channels, but it is not essential. What matters most is attitude, drive, and your ability to build rapport quickly. If you have succeeded in a relationship-led B2B sales role, enjoy being out on the road, and can handle the persistence needed to open doors and keep momentum, you will fit well here. You will be consultative and comfortable speaking to a wide mix of people. Applicants must not currently be employed directly by an electrical wholesaler. A full UK driving licence is essential.
In Return
You will get genuine autonomy to build a regional footprint and a reputation in the market, backed by a friendly, grounded team that values consistency and cultural fit. You will have the support to do the job properly, the freedom to manage your patch your way, and strong earning potential through an uncapped monthly bonus structure. Alongside a £35,000–£40,000 basic salary, you will receive a company car and full expenses coverage.
