About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable

Trainee Scaffolders to join a team working across construction sites.

As part of the onboarding process, all trainee scaffolders will initially work as a

Scaffolding Labourer for the first six months , gaining practical, hands‑on experience on site before progressing within the scaffolding trade.

You will support experienced scaffolders with the safe handling and movement of materials, site preparation and general scaffolding activities while developing your knowledge and practical skills.

Main Duties

  • Assist scaffolders with the erection, alteration and dismantling of scaffolding under supervision.
  • Load, unload and safely transport scaffolding materials around site.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials and equipment.
  • Carry out manual handling and general labouring duties.
  • Maintain clean, organised and safe working areas.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced scaffolders.
  • Attend site briefings and follow all relevant site rules and procedures.
  • Comply with health and safety requirements, including appropriate PPE.
  • Support the scaffolding team to complete projects safely and efficiently.
  • Develop practical knowledge and skills with a view to progressing within the scaffolding industry.

  • Must live in the London Borough of Camden.
  • Must be a Camden borough resident
  • Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual work.
  • Positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.

Desirable Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous labouring experience.
