Role Overview
A renewable energy and home efficiency company is looking for a Sales Executive to join their B2C sales team.
This is a full-time, office-based role in Harold Wood, focused on speaking with homeowners who are interested in energy-saving products and services such as solar, air source heat pumps and insulation.
This is a consultative sales role, not a high-pressure telesales role.
You will be speaking with customers, understanding their needs and helping them choose the right energy-saving solution for their home.
The employer is particularly interested in candidates with strong B2C sales experience.
Previous experience in renewable energy, solar, air source heat pumps, insulation or home improvements would be helpful, but is not essential.
- Important Eligibility Information
- This role is fully office-based in Harold Wood.
- You must be comfortable working five days per week from the office.
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
- The basic salary is £22,568 to £26,437, plus uncapped commission.
- Commission is paid at £150 per completed installation.
- Commission is paid once the installation has taken place and is complete. This will be paid in the first pay after installation.
- There are no commission restrictions during probation.
- The employer has indicated that realistic earnings can be higher through commission, with OTE of £50,000+ depending on performance.
- This role is best suited to candidates with proven B2C sales experience.
- What You’ll Do
- Manage inbound customer leads from initial contact through to installation.
- Speak with homeowners to understand their needs and recommend suitable energy-saving solutions.
- Explain products and services clearly, including solar, air source heat pumps and insulation.
- Maintain regular customer contact throughout the sales process.
- Keep the sales pipeline organised and up to date.
- Work towards agreed sales targets and activity expectations.
- Provide honest, ethical and pressure-free advice to customers.
- Take ownership of your workload, customer follow-up and sales performance.
Requirements
- Proven B2C sales experience.
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
- A consultative and ethical approach to sales.
- Confidence speaking with customers by phone and managing ongoing conversations.
- Motivation to work towards targets and deliver consistent results.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to take ownership and accountability for your performance.
- Ability to speak clearly and confidently about your previous sales experience and career history.
- Strongly Preferred
- Experience in solar, air source heat pumps, insulation, home improvements or a related sector.
- Experience managing warm or inbound leads.
- Experience working in a target-driven sales environment.
