Key Responsibilities
- Repairs & Maintenance
- Carry out basic property repairs and maintenance works.
- Undertake minor plumbing, carpentry and general handyman duties.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Assist with painting and decorating works where required.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Conduct routine building inspections.
- Complete water hygiene checks including temperature monitoring and flushing.
- Support fire alarm testing and compliance activities.
- Provide building access for contractors and visitors.
- Assist with opening and closing buildings when required.
- Grounds Maintenance, Cleaning & Waste Services
- Carry out grounds maintenance and horticultural duties.
- Support cleaning and caretaking services across sites.
- Complete litter picking and bulky waste removal activities.
- Ensure waste is handled and disposed of safely and correctly.
- Customer Service & Teamwork
- Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Build positive relationships with residents, contractors and colleagues.
- Support site managers in maintaining service quality and performance standards.
- Work flexibly across multiple service areas as operational needs require.
- Health & Safety
- Follow all health and safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Use equipment safely and responsibly.
- Maintain safe working environments across all sites.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in property maintenance, facilities management, grounds maintenance, cleaning, caretaking, waste management or a similar environment.
- Good understanding of working within residential and/or commercial properties.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to duties and responsibilities.
- Basic health and safety awareness.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in painting and decorating.
- Experience of PAT testing.
- Experience of water hygiene monitoring.
- Experience working within facilities management or public sector environments.
