About the Role
We are looking for qualified Carpenters to join a permanent team working across Walthamstow and the surrounding area. This is an immediate requirement for experienced carpenters who can work independently and deliver high-quality carpentry work. The role offers either a day rate or price-work arrangement, depending on experience.
Important to Know
- Level 2 Carpentry qualification required
- Blue Skilled CSCS Card required
- Proven professional carpentry experience required
- £5 million Public Liability Insurance required
- If you are not a British citizen, you must be able to provide an HMRC Share Code
- Immediate availability is preferred
- Candidates must be reliable, professional and able to work independently
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry and joinery works to a high standard
- Complete repairs, installations and other carpentry works as required
- Read and work from drawings, specifications and instructions
- Measure, cut and install timber and other materials accurately
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
- Follow relevant health and safety requirements
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, colleagues, clients and residents where required
- Complete work within agreed timescales and to the required specification
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Level 2 Carpentry qualification
- Blue Skilled CSCS Card
- Proven hands-on experience as a qualified Carpenter
- Strong practical carpentry skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good understanding of site health and safety
