We are recruiting for experienced Electricians to support the installation of Solar PV, Battery Storage, and Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems across Cumbria, Northumberland, and Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing renewable energy team delivering projects that help reduce carbon emissions and improve the energy efficiency of homes across the region.

SALARY

• £45,000 basic salary
• OTE up to £60,000
• Full-time, permanent position

LOCATION

• Covering Cumbria, Northumberland and Yorkshire

THE ROLE

As a Renewable Energy Electrician, you will carry out electrical installation, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding on domestic renewable energy systems. You'll work closely with installation teams to deliver high-quality Solar PV, Battery Storage, and ASHP projects while ensuring full compliance with current electrical regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, maintain, repair, and commission Solar PV, Battery Storage, and renewable energy systems
• Carry out electrical testing, inspection, and certification of installations
• Diagnose electrical faults and report any non-electrical issues to management
• Complete Electrical Installation Certificates and associated documentation
• Carry out on-site risk assessments and ensure safe working practices at all times
• Maintain accurate maintenance and installation records
• Deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied homes
• Work collaboratively with installation teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently
• Attend training and maintain professional qualifications

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
• Valid ECS or CSCS card
• Experience working as an electrician within domestic properties
• Strong understanding of current Health & Safety legislation
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check

DESIRABLE

• Experience installing Solar PV systems
• Experience with Battery Storage systems
• Experience installing or maintaining Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)
• Previous experience within the renewable energy or retrofit sector
