We are recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join a busy maintenance and property services team delivering high-quality plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance works across residential and commercial properties. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified plumbing professional looking to work within a varied environment while supporting maintenance, refurbishment, and future retrofit programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring properties remain safe, compliant, and operational while delivering exceptional customer service.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Proven plumbing experience within residential, commercial, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience within housing maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, or planned works environments would be highly advantageous.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PLUMBING INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, pipework, fixtures, and fittings
- Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance works
- Diagnose faults and identify effective repair solutions
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards
INSPECTION & REPAIRS
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimise future issues
- Identify potential defects and recommend remedial actions
- Ensure systems operate safely and efficiently
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE SUPPORT
- Support refurbishment and maintenance programmes across residential and commercial properties
- Work collaboratively with other trades to complete projects and repairs
- Assist with wider property maintenance activities where required
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service in occupied and unoccupied properties
- Communicate effectively with residents, clients, and colleagues
- Minimise disruption while maintaining high standards of work
HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
- Ensure all works comply with current regulations and building standards
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate records of completed works and materials used
- Ensure work areas are left safe, clean, and tidy
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong technical plumbing knowledge
- Experience diagnosing and resolving plumbing faults
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Gas Safe Registration
- Experience working on social housing or property maintenance contracts
- Experience with renewable technologies such as solar thermal systems, heat pumps, and knowledge of retrofit and decarbonisation programmes
- Experience working within planned maintenance environments
