We are recruiting for experienced Roofers / Cavity Wall Insulation Installers to join a growing renewable energy and retrofit team delivering projects across Yorkshire, the North East and the North West. This is an exciting opportunity to work on energy efficiency improvements, including roofing works, Solar PV installations, and cavity wall insulation projects that help reduce carbon emissions and improve the energy performance of homes.

SALARY

• Up to £50,000 per annum

THE ROLE

As a Roofer / Cavity Wall Insulation Installer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality roofing works, supporting Solar PV installations, and carrying out cavity wall insulation installation and extraction. You'll work as part of an experienced team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• ROOFING & SOLAR SUPPORT
• Install roof-mounted Solar PV systems using a range of mounting systems
• Remove and replace slate and tiled roofs where required
• Carry out flashing repairs, waterproofing, and general roofing maintenance
• Prepare roofs for renewable energy installations
• Run cables and conduit in collaboration with electrical installation teams
• Support electricians during the commissioning of battery storage and EV charging systems
• CAVITY WALL INSULATION
• Carry out cavity wall insulation installation and extraction works
• Complete pre-installation and post-installation inspections
• Identify and resolve installation issues where required
• Ensure all work complies with company procedures and industry standards
• Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a roofer, ideally supporting Solar PV installations
• Experience installing and/or extracting cavity wall insulation
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices
• Full UK driving licence
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Flexible approach to working hours and travel

DESIRABLE

• Previous Solar PV installation experience
• ACCOPS certification (training available if not already held)
• SVQ-approved roofing apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
• Experience working within retrofit or energy efficiency programmes
