Role Overview
We are looking for a qualified and motivated Electrician to join our growing team. This role involves carrying out high‑quality electrical installation, testing, and inspection work in domestic and/or commercial settings, ensuring all work is completed safely and in full compliance with current regulations. While previous solar PV experience is not essential, we are happy to put the successful candidate through a recognised solar electrical course, offering an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, testing, inspection, and fault‑finding work to a high standard
- Ensure all electrical work complies with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- Complete testing & inspection certificates accurately and on time
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Communicate professionally with customers, site managers, and colleagues
- Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
- Keep tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good working order
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- AM2 qualification, including Testing & Inspection
- Proven experience working as a qualified Electrician
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- Previous domestic or commercial electrical experience
- Experience with testing & inspection reports (EIC, EICR)
- Renewable or solar PV experience (training provided if not)
- ECS or JIB Gold Card
Training & Development
