We are recruiting an experienced Retrofit Field Manager to lead the successful delivery of retrofit and energy efficiency projects across East London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader with a background in retrofit, construction or energy efficiency to oversee installation teams, manage client relationships and ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest standards.
THE ROLE
As a Retrofit Field Manager, you will take ownership of retrofit installation programmes from mobilisation through to final compliance sign-off. You will lead internal teams and subcontractors, maintain excellent client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and right first time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full installation lifecycle from mobilisation through to project completion.
- Lead, mentor and coordinate employed installation teams to maximise performance and productivity.
- Recruit, onboard, train and support installation operatives where required.
- Manage subcontractors and supply chain partners, including KPI monitoring and performance reviews.
- Carry out pre-installation, mid-installation and post-installation site inspections and quality audits.
- Ensure all works comply with health and safety legislation, technical specifications and industry standards.
- Resolve on-site technical and operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Manage materials, budgets and procurement coordination to support efficient project delivery.
- Build strong relationships with clients and attend site and project meetings.
- Investigate and resolve customer issues, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate reporting and timely updates across company IT systems.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a Retrofit Field Manager, Site Manager or similar operational management role.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary installation teams across multiple sites.
- Strong project management experience within construction, retrofit or energy efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- Ability to interpret risk assessments, method statements and technical documentation.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience delivering funded retrofit or energy efficiency programmes (ECO, SHDF or similar).
- Knowledge of PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 retrofit standards.
- Experience working with compliance, surveying and installation teams.
- Background in renewable energy or domestic retrofit programmes.
