About Zest

Zest is a leading provider of Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure, helping Local Authorities and businesses transition to a zero-carbon future. We're looking for a Junior HSEQ Advisor to join our growing team and support Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) activities across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around one year's HSEQ or construction experience who is looking to develop their career. Full mentoring and support will be provided, including funding towards NEBOSH and Internal Auditor qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) activities across the business.
  • Carry out site inspections, workplace inspections and HSEQ audits.
  • Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Review RAMS, contractor documentation and compliance records.
  • Assist with maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Maintain HSEQ documentation, reports and KPIs.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Travel to operational sites across the UK (up to twice per week).

Requirements

  • Around 1 year's experience in a Health & Safety or HSEQ role, or within construction, engineering, utilities, civil engineering or a similar environment.
  • Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Happy to travel to sites across the UK.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
  • IOSH Membership.
  • Experience carrying out HSEQ audits or site inspections.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Experience reviewing RAMS.
  • CSCS Card.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS.

Salary & Benefits

  • £28,000–£35,000 basic salary (depending on experience).
  • Mileage expenses for site travel.
  • Ongoing mentoring and professional development.
  • Funded NEBOSH and Internal Auditor qualifications.
