About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Joiner to join our growing retrofit team based in Lytham. Working primarily within social housing properties, you will carry out a range of joinery works as part of energy efficiency and property improvement programmes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality retrofit solutions that improve the comfort, energy performance, and sustainability of homes while maintaining excellent customer service to tenants and residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of first and second fix joinery within occupied and void social housing properties.
  • Install and upgrade doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, flooring, kitchens, cupboards, and other timber components.
  • Undertake works associated with retrofit projects, including insulation-related joinery alterations and reinstatement works.
  • Fit and adjust fire doors in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Work closely with site supervisors, retrofit coordinators, and other trades.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with tenants, residents, and housing representatives.
  • Complete job sheets, reports, and photographic records where required.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures, company policies, and industry regulations at all times.
  • Identify and report any additional repairs, defects, or health and safety concerns.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in domestic joinery.
  • Experience working within social housing, planned maintenance, or refurbishment projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Experience working on PAS 2030/PAS 2035 retrofit projects.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency measures and property upgrades.
  • Fire door installation and maintenance experience.
  • CSCS Card.
