THE OPPORTUNITY
We are recruiting for an Advanced Grounds Maintenance Technician to join a growing environmental services team delivering high-quality grounds maintenance works across a variety of sites. This role is suited to an experienced and self-sufficient grounds maintenance professional with strong operational knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to maintain high standards independently across multiple environments.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior grounds maintenance or team leader role is essential
- A full UK driving licence is required
- Pay rate may increase depending on qualifications, such as PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates
- This is a physically demanding outdoor role in varying weather conditions
- Interviews may take place throughout the recruitment process
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, pruning, spraying, and general grounds maintenance duties
- Operate machinery, tools, and company vehicles safely and efficiently
- Complete daily vehicle and machinery checks
- Maintain high presentation and operational standards across all assigned sites
- Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Work professionally with clients, colleagues, and members of the public
- Carry out duties independently and use initiative where required
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years’ grounds maintenance experience in a senior or team leader position
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to operate company vehicles and grounds maintenance machinery
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates are desirable
