What You’ll Do
- Deliver accurate month-end close and management accounts, with clear commentary and KPI packs that inform senior decision-making.
- Support the Head of Finance in monitoring full company P&L performance; highlight variances, risks, and opportunities, driving corrective actions with budget holders.
- Lead budgeting and rolling forecasts, challenging assumptions and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital (credit control, AP, inventory), delivering improved liquidity.
- Coordinate year-end, audit and statutory reporting, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance across VAT, and assisting with international filings where relevant.
- Act as ERP super-user (Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central preferred) and advanced Excel lead, embedding automation and data accuracy.
What You’ll Bring
- Solid experience in a UK Finance Manager or strong Management Accountant role, covering month-end, management accounts and cash management.
- Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA etc.).
- Experience influencing P&L outcomes, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to partner non-finance teams.
- Confident with ERP (ideally Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central) plus advanced Excel.
- Experience handling VAT compliance and exposure to international entities or cross-border considerations.
- Clear, concise communicator who can present financial information at SLT level; resilient, pragmatic and proactive.
- Track record of coaching and developing small teams, driving improvements, and acting as a capable deputy to senior leadership.
