What You'll Do

  • New Business Development & Lead Generation
    • Proactively identify and target new opportunities across:
      • Sports clubs (grassroots to professional)
      • Schools, colleges, and universities
      • Local authorities and contractors
      • Groundskeepers and facility managers
    • Execute outbound sales activity including:
      • Cold outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn)
      • On-site prospecting and visits
      • Referrals and relationship-led introductions
    • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects. Own the full top-of-funnel process from prospecting through to initial deal agreement.
  • Field Sales & Product Demonstration
    • Travel to meet prospects and customers
    • Site visits and facility walkthroughs
    • Deliver hands-on product demonstrations including line marking machines and paint performance and application
    • Showcase clear value versus competitor products. Drive conversion through practical, experience-led selling.
  • Account Management & Repeat Revenue Growth
    • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers to drive repeat paint orders (core consumable revenue) and cross-sell of category equipment and upgrades
    • Follow up on large inbound/online orders to gather feedback, secure repeat business, and identify upsell opportunities
    • Work closely with the inbound sales team to ensure seamless account handling and order processing.
  • Pipeline Ownership & Sales Integration
    • Maintain clear visibility of pipeline health and future demand.
    • Collaborate with inbound sales to ensure smooth handover of opportunities where required
    • Alignment on pricing, stock, and delivery expectations
    • Stay involved in key accounts to support retention and growth.
  • Category Ownership & Commercial Performance
    • Take ownership of the line marking category performance, including revenue growth, margin performance, and repeat purchase rates
    • Monitor and analyse sales trends, identifying high-performing products, underperforming areas, and seasonal demand patterns
    • Drive initiatives to improve category performance and scalability.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
    • Continuously monitor the market landscape, including competitor products and pricing, supplier positioning, and industry trends and innovations
    • Conduct “like-for-like” product comparisons to maintain competitiveness.
    • Identify pricing opportunities and risks within the category.
    • Act as the internal expert on the line marking market.
  • Product Development & Range Expansion
    • Identify gaps in the current product offering, including paint formulations, equipment features, and bundled solutions
    • Work closely with product development and buying teams to launch new products, improve existing ranges, and align offerings with customer needs
    • Contribute to building a more complete and competitive category range.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with inbound sales team, product development, buying & sourcing, marketing, operations & logistics
    • Ensure alignment between sales activity, product availability, and operational capability.
    • Support forecasting through accurate pipeline and demand insights.
