The Role
As Dispatch Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring daily outbound operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead and develop your team to meet strict KPIs while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and service. Working closely with planning, transport, and client services teams, you\’ll ensure operational readiness and peak performance across all dispatch lanes.
The Role
As Dispatch Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring daily outbound operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead and develop your team to meet strict KPIs while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and service. Working closely with planning, transport, and client services teams, you\’ll ensure operational readiness and peak performance across all dispatch lanes.
What You\’ll Do
- Lead and manage the dispatch function, overseeing a large team across multiple shifts.
- Monitor and improve outbound performance to meet or exceed service level agreements.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality, and security standards.
- Work with internal stakeholders to plan for volume spikes, seasonal peaks, and client launches.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce error rates.
- Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and team leaders to build a high-performance culture.
- Own key metrics such as dispatch accuracy, cut-off adherence, and late consignment reduction.
