The Quality Control & Stock Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and accuracy of our stock inventory. This role involves conducting product tests, reviewing product defect rates, reviewing samples and incoming container sign offs, reworking items, repackaging and ensuring that all stock items are correctly barcoded and labelled. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and a dedication to maintaining high-quality standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Product Testing: Conduct detailed quality checks and tests on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet company standards and support products team on any QC issues.
  • Reworking Products & Stock Modification: Identify and rework defective or damaged items to bring them up to acceptable quality standards, to help fulfil orders and maintain stock levels.
  • Barcode and Label Management: Accurately label and barcode all stock items to ensure proper identification and tracking within the inventory system.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of quality control checks, container checks, test results, and rework activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse and products teams to manage stock quality and ensure feedback is shared with the purchaser, developer and supplier.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the quality control process and suggest enhancements to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Previous experience in a quality control or stock management role, preferably within the sports equipment industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Physical capability to lift and move heavy items as necessary.
