As we continue to expand our product portfolio, we are looking for a Product Developer to join our ambitious and fastâpaced Product Development team. This role is ideal for someone who already has handsâon experience in product development and is ready to take greater ownership of product categories, suppliers, and commercial decisionâmaking. Youâll be involved in the full product lifecycle, working closely with internal teams and international suppliers to deliver highâquality, commercially successful sports products.
WHAT YOUâLL DO:
- Own and deliver endâtoâend product development projects, from concept generation and feasibility through to product signâoff and launch, following structured product development processes.
- Conduct detailed market, competitor, and trend research to identify gaps and opportunities within assigned categories, confidently presenting insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Take ownership of defined product categories assigned to you, maintaining inâdepth product knowledge and contributing to the continued expansion of our ranges.
- Source new products and suppliers, ensuring all due diligence, compliance, and quality standards are met; manage product sampling, testing, feedback, and approvals.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with domestic and international suppliers, proactively managing performance, quality, lead times, and ongoing development.
- Lead commercial discussions with suppliers, demonstrating effective negotiation skills to achieve competitive pricing, favourable terms, and sustainable margins.
- Provide pricing analysis and cost breakdowns, using market knowledge and supplier data to support commercial decisionâmaking.
- Identify and propose new product, range extension, and market opportunities aligned with business strategy.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- At least 1 yearsâ experience in Product Developer, Product Development, or Product Design role (consumer products or sports equipment preferred).
- Proven experience working through the product development lifecycle and working with critical path style structures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Confidence in communicating with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong negotiation and commercial awareness.
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers and manufacturers.
- Understanding of sourcing, compliance, and quality control processes.
- A genuine passion for sports and sporting products.
