£50,000 – £70,000 DOE

Looking to measure up a new opportunity with a dynamic and growing team? We’re on the hunt for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established specialist joinery contractor based in Northamptonshire, working on high-quality projects across the East and West Midlands.

You’ll be working as a key player in the commercial team, supporting exciting sub-contract packages for Tier 1 contractors such as Carillion, Willmott Dixon, Mansells, and Galliford Try. With project values ranging from £20,000 to £2 million, no two days (or joinery details) will ever be the same.

If you can throw in some basic estimating skills too — we’ll love you even more!

What You’ll Be Getting Stuck Into:
  • Preparing accurate and timely valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Cost management and reporting across multiple live projects
  • Ensuring commercial control of sub-contract packages
  • Working closely with site and project managers to ensure financial success
  • Producing monthly CVRs and forecasts
  • Attending progress meetings and liaising with Tier 1 contractors
  • Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities
  • Supporting in procurement of materials and sub-contractors
  • Monitoring project budgets and controlling costs
  • Assisting with basic estimating tasks when required
Who You Are:
  • A proactive QS with a sharp eye for detail and a genuine love for craftsmanship
  • Experienced in sub-contract environments — joinery experience is a BIG bonus
  • Strong communicator who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative settings
  • Happy to travel across the Midlands as needed
  • Confident with numbers, negotiation, and keeping projects profitable
