CAD Designer – Precast Concrete

Location: Ipswich Pay: (negotiable) Monday – Friday - 8.30am - 5.00pm Duration: Temp to Perm

Job Overview

Net-Temps are seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our clients precast concrete team in Ipswich.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and models for precast concrete products used in construction projects.

This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and experience with precast manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed CAD drawings and models for precast concrete components.
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings and convert them into fabrication drawings.
  • Prepare reinforcement detailing and production drawings for manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams.
  • Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Revise drawings based on feedback and design changes.
  • Maintain accurate drawing records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer / CAD Technician, ideally in precast concrete or structural design.
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD (or similar CAD software).
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
