You will be fully supported by a Responsible Individual with a proven track record of successfully opening children’s residential homes, offering unwavering dedication to both child-focused care and staff development through exceptional support and training.
We’re recruiting an exceptional Registered Manager for a brand-new home in the Aintree area of Liverpool. This isn’t just any home—it’s set in a beautiful rural location and designed to provide the very best environment for children aged 7–17 who have experienced trauma. Facilities within the home include:
- Outdoor therapy rooms
- Art therapy studio
- Recording studio
- Indoor therapy swimming pool
Duties:
- Lead and supervise the care team to ensure the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Build effective internal relationships and strive for OUTSTANDING Ofsted reports.
- Oversee daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
- Lead a values-driven, therapeutic home dedicated to transforming young lives.
- Collaborate with qualified clinicians and an experienced consultancy team of experts to ensure holistic support for children.
- Shape culture, practice, and quality from the ground up.
- Ongoing professional development and leadership growth supported by experts in care governance.
- Conduct regular staff training sessions to maintain high standards of care and leadership development.
- Monitor the wellbeing of children, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, medication administration, and incident reports.
- Ensure a safe environment by always adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with families, external agencies, and healthcare providers to support children's needs.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager within a children’s residential home environment.
- Strong background in supporting children with EBD and behaviours that challenge.
- Proven experience setting up and/or managing a children’s home in line with Ofsted standards.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards completion).
- In-depth understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Emotionally intelligent, resilient, and committed to delivering child-centred, high-quality care.
- A “Good” or “Outstanding” grade within your recent Ofsted Inspections.
- Knowledge of relevant Ofsted legislation governing child social care services.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams effectively.
- Competence in developing and overseeing personalised care plans tailored to individual requirements.
- Compassionate approach with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
