The Role:

We are recruiting an experienced Deputy Manager for a high-quality children’s residential home in Mansfield, supporting one young person aged 8–18 within a structured, emotionally supportive environment. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support the day-to-day running of the home, lead shifts, mentor staff and ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance. This Deputy Manager role is ideal for someone looking to progress their leadership career within children’s residential care while working in a calm, well-funded service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in all aspects of home management
  • Lead, mentor and develop Residential Support Workers
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments and daily routines
  • Support recruitment, training and staff development
  • Act as a positive role model and professional leader

Working Pattern:

40 hours per week, 1 on / 2 off shift pattern, Two contracted sleep-ins per month, Additional sleep-ins paid at £80

Requirements:

  • QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Level 4 or 5 (desirable or willingness to work towards Level 5)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care
  • Proven leadership or senior experience

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
