Our client is a specialist wastewater treatment company, delivering sustainable and natural wastewater solutions across the UK, including the installation and maintenance of reedbed systems. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals willing to learn and develop a career within a growing environmental and civil engineering business.
The Role
Based from the company’s head office in Rugeley, you will collect a company van on Monday mornings and travel to sites across the UK. Approximately 70% of the role involves working away from home, so applicants must be comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays.
Duties will include:
- Installation of reedbed wastewater treatment systems
- Maintenance and upkeep of reedbed sites
- Clearing and maintaining pipework
- Strimming, weeding and general vegetation management
- Supporting site maintenance and improvement works
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
- Applicants under the age of 25 must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of one year due to company insurance requirements
