Day Shift, Adult Learning Disability Support Workers – REQUIRED! Net Temps Limited is recruiting for a Support Workers to work on a temporary ongoing basis for one of our clients in Weston Super Mare needing assistance on a weekly basis. The Client: The client is a residential unit providing care and support for adult residents living with learning disabilities including Autism and potentially behaviours that challange. The client is looking for experienced Support Workers with a quick thinking, solution-orientated approach, offering 121 compasionate support and making a real difference in the lives of adults who reside in their home. The Opportunity: Working as a Support Worker you will be working as part of a freindly team covering AM, PM or Long Day shifts providing care and support individually tailored to the needs and wishes of residents. This could include participating in various hobbies within the home or going swimming, taking walks, and going on day trips. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-established national service provider within a friendly team on a long-term ongoing opportunity and you are welcome to make yourself available for anything from full time hours to only 1 shift per week. Duties: Every day is varied, and flexibility is required. You will work together with the team and the residents to enable them to have choice and control over their lives whilst identifying and achieving their goals, You will also be expected to carry out everyday tasks including personal care and activities that make up a healthy, well balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. The Role / Experience & Responsibilities: The client requires Support Workers who can work either AM, PM or Long Days.To be considered for the role, the following experience and certifications will be sought after: * MUST have at least 6-month experience of working within a UK based service. * MUST have experience of working with adults living with Learning Disabilities * PREFERRED to have a DBS on the update service although we can assist you to obtain a new DBS * PREFERRED to have up to date Mandatory training although free training can be provided * MUST have working references in a UK based healthcare setting * MUST have the right to work in the UK * PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS CLASSED AS A TEMPORARY ROLE AND WE ARE UNABLE TO OFFER SPONSORSHIP ALTHOUGH WE CAN PROVIDE A TOP UP OF UP TO 20 HOURS PER WEEK.
